I went in and tried the rib dinner. Two things were
wrong. I got two ribs, baked beans, and potato salad and 1 piece of Texas Toast. There were more than enough Baked Beans and Potato Salad. But only two ribs for $7.50. Total bill $7.97. The ribs were so tough I could hardly eat them. I can go to Hogwild and get 6-8 ribs, baked beans and potato salad and two pieces of toast for $9.47, and the ribs are tender and I can eat every bite. I had that dinner last night by the way. I will not be going back to Smoky Butts for a rib dinner again. I wasted my money on some of the worst barbeque I have ever had. NO MORE!.
Don't eat there, they are redicious. The owner's are completely racist! I know cause of what they called my mixed daughter. These people should not be allowed to serve the public.
tried smokey butts 2 days ago. had a combo of ribs and brisket and wife had pulled pork. yum yum yum. excellent job of smoking, tender juicy ribs, excellent brisket. the pulled pork was a little above average because of the excellent flavor. beans were good and potato salad was average. A- because of the bbq ribs and brisket.
forgot to mention the pecan pie. excellent after it was warmed. it was served cold and would have been better if served warm. homemade and very carameley and chewy
Haven't tried it myself but haven't heard anything good. High prices and poor quality food is what I am hearing.
Me and my grandkids went there the other night and i will never go back and will tell all my family and friends NEVER to go there it was 40.00 for me and two kids. We didnt like the taste of the food but ate it because we paid so much and the kids was still hungry when we got home. The staff was very rude and the place was very dirty NOT A CLEAN PLACE TO EAT!!!!!
Tried it for the first time tonight and got it to go. It was ok. I had turkey and a link, coleslaw and potato salad. The link was not a hot link but I don't believe it was advertised as one. The turkey was so-so. The potato salad was too runny for my tastes and both the coleslaw and potato salad had a different flavor to them that I wasn't fond of. The toast was extremely buttery which I didn't care for. I will probably eat there again but will try something different.
I wasn't the one who payed so don't know about the cost.

If you want to talk ill of a restaurant you really shouldn't use an alias. People who would like reviews on a restaurant would rather have them be true and not just someone slandering a restaurant because they have a personal vendetta. Please be considerate of the patrons of the restaurant. Like the golden rule says "Treat others how you wish to be treated".
This is my REAL name and i do have something personal against these business owners. They are exactly what i said they were and if you choose to go there that is up to you. I have had friends go there and they were treated poorly as well. I do treat others like they treat me that is why i posted the comment. Try to get your facts right!!
I have been there twice and luv it. I am not a big bbq person, but decided to try it and was very impressed. My son luvs the turkey sandwiches and I luv the brisket, pork, and the potato wedges. The employees are always very friendly and the orders are always prompt! I have never ordered anything I was not completely satified with! I highly recommend!!!!

Staff is freindly and willing to work for you. Generous to the community, They do alot for the kids in the sports programs, Have supplied equipment for under privelaged kids of all colors and religon. Not possable for a grandmother and two grand "children" to spend $40 and not have left stuffed. 3 meat dinners are only $10, what did they eat? We support them, and will help them become a part of Haysville for some time. We need more people like them. It is very obvious this person has never been in the resturant and probably wouldn't be allowed in anyway.
We have been there twice and LOVED it. We are also considering using them to cater for us. They staff was NOT rude, and price was not bad. The restaraunt was very clean. Not sure what people are expecting, but this is a great place for Haysville!

I hope they stick around, Haysville needs a good BBQ place. I havent tried it yet, probably will sometime in the near future. I will provide a detailed review when I do.
not very good i have had way better...the ribs were tough the brisket tasted weird and the sauce really lacked flavor...as far as the entire expierence was probably about a 1 out of 5.
WE have always enjoyed our meals there. The brisket & pulled pork are our favorites and the beans are execellent. All the sides are good and the service is friendly. Nice to see a family work together!
Hey jbig, I thought the owners were Don and Amy? Sanders is a pretty common last name so that could just be another customer like us.
I have tried the BBQ and it is wonderful. The facility is cleaning, friendly,and has a wonderful family environment. I would recommend it to anyone. It is also impressive to see more cars there every week.
I have eaten there several times (for take out only). Each time I have had the pulled pork which was good. The beans are way better than Hog Wild. The potato wedges could have been cooked more thoroughly. Overall, I have enjoyed my experiences there and have been treated well.
Went there a few months ago. The BBQ was not bad. Seemed a little high priced compared to comparable places around Wichita. Got beans and wedges, the beans were good, the wedges I think I seriously chipped a tooth on. They were ridiculously hard, therefor I could only eat maybe a quarter of them that were not as hard as the others. Probably wont make a second trip due to the first experience.
Wont be eating it again! Wasted my money on ribs and the sauce was terrible. Watery and tasted like the peppers that sit on the table at Pizza Hut. I am just a normal guy but I have made better.
Service was lousy they acted like I should know what I wanted and were put out that I even came in the door. (I had not been in before) They were more concerned with the car show the next night that dealing with me as a customer. The ribs were like BRICKS! My dog broke a tooth tearing the meat off. She wouldnt even try the sauce. I wont be going back nor will my family.
boy jason, you don't have anything nice to say about the restaurants in haysville. i have seen several posts from you about different places, and NONE of them are nice. apparently you are'nt satisfied anywhere you go. sounds like you are the one in need of an adjustment
#1 I know that this is small town USA. I grew up in Peck just donw the road. #2 I am not afraid to put my name in the title of my posts. #3 I love car shows. #4 you calling me a jerk really doesnt matter. The truth is the meat is over cooked and they were rude! #5 Small town diners should be better than the big city ones. Otherwise they end up closing down from lack of business. Why in the heck would anyone want to waste the money on crappy food? The economy is weak and we eat at home most days. So YES when we go out I expect good food. #6 show me my other posts about the other places. # 7 Prove me wrong. Look at the pizza place how long did it last?????
I hate to say this but had they listened to the honest reviews they could have improved and stayed in business.
Jason you sir are jerk, don't expect 5 star dining in Haysville, Ks. These places are small local restaurants. Also the car show they put on is a great thing for this town people really enjoy it and it brings them business. When you go to small town restaurant acting like jerk expect to get treated that way.
I felt the same way. It was an imposition to wait on us and the food was horrible. Two of the three people in our group had terrible stomach issues shortly after eating there. The food was not fresh and was under a lightbulb. I really wonder how it past health inspections!! Will not eat there again and will not recommend it to anyone.

I have eaten there a few times and plan to return. Loved it! I thought the quality was well above Hog Wild in taste! We've eaten the brisket, pulled pork and turkey so far. The potato salad and beans were great every time too! I purchased some of the sauce to take home on my 2nd visit - love it because it doesn't give me terrible heartburn like so many other BBQ places. We went during the evening and it was clean when we were there. I definately recommend this place!
Food is bland....I searched for brisket flavor and did not find any. I think my worst smoking attempt was better than anything I found on my plate. The sides were ok. Ribs were fall OFF THE BONE BUT TASTED WEIRD..Not trying to be mean just truthful. My smoking doesn't require sauce but this food does.. Think I will open the empty restaurant on Broadway and give Haysville a good place to go eat.... Sorry for the bad rating but it is 100% true. Go try it yourself and see
Smokey Butts ROCKS!!!! Nope, I don't work there, I just know tastey dang BBQ, love those whistle berries!! Great Folks at SB!!!!
Well i see a lot of people in Haysville have lousy tastes, in BBQ. We have a department out here at work on swing shift that orders Smokey Butts every Friday night and we enjoy it. I swing by and grab a Kebosa on my way to work........ So you folks that don't enjoy a good BBQ, fine- that much more for us who do.
