Sunday is pizza night at our house so I was excited this morning when I read this. Disappointed tonight though when I find they are not open Sundays
Good news - we plan on opening both of our stores to 7 days a week in April!
The pizza was awesome. Had a great time and the waitstaff never let our soft drinks get empty. Two-thumbs up. I am definitively going back (maybe tonight)
I called in an order of Family size meat lovers pizza and chicken alfredo Monday nite @ 730pm Arrived at the Pizza Place 10mins later to pick up order. I walk in, the girl behind the register makes eye contact with me and then ignores me for 5 mins. never greeting me or asking if she could help me. I took a seat in front of the register and began timing the whole thing, as i was kinda shocked. A large white man wearing an apron came out of kitchen made eye contact with me still no words spoken he went into dinning room. At approx. 9 mins i went into dinning room looked at the man who was sitting at table with two employee's they looked at me still no words spoken. I was starting to think mabey they all were mute. I go back and sit in front of register the man gets up and goes in kitchen comes out with the food in boxes looks at me and finally says "Chicken alafedo & Meat loverrs pizza?" I reply "Yes Sir" He says " You want a take home menu?' I say No tanks I dont think I will be back. He says Why? I tell him Ive been here over 10 mins and this is the first time ANYONE has spoken to me. He says Well how'd You make your order? I reply over the phone. He grunts Well its been a long night> I said thats no excuse for poor customer service. I ask if hes the Mgr. or owner hes says the owner & put the food away and told me to go somewhere else. So Im Telling EVERYBODY I work with @ CESSNA AIRCRAFT to go somewhere else NOT HERE he dont need your business. And Im telling EVERYBODY I know in Haysville where iv lived and owned my on home for 20 yrs go SOMEWHERE ELSE NOT JOHNNY Bs or his PIZZA PLACE!
Hello, as I said last night I do apoligize for not greeting you. I think most people will acknowledge we generally do a pretty good job at greeting our customers and we know alot of you by name. I spoke will all my staff last night after you left in regards to this and re-iterated the importance of greeting everyone. So for that I apoligize.
As for the details as to what happened other than that I am not going to get into a posting war! They never do any good. I do wish you best of luck and am sorry we were not able to take care of you. Thanks to all of you who continue to support us we really do appreciate it. This is only our third day and overall you guys have been great and we appreciate it. Thanks again!
Sir,
I don't recall you apologizing last night as you refused to serve me and asking me to leave your establishment. I am sorry that you staff took the brunt of "managements" lack of customer service as they can only be lead by example. First impressions make lasting impressions and you sir have made a HUGE impression on me. Good luck in all you do.
The reason Mulvane's Johnny B's Pizza was so good was that they took over the menu from a WELL Established Pizza Place called Amy's Once I heard Amy was selling I wanted to give them a chance. Then they took out the smoking section and I decided its not my cup of tea. Good Luck Johnny B you are just not for me
No smoking, what a huge plus. That's enough for me to come. We ate ate Johnnie B's in Mulvane and love it. We will try here soon and form our own opinion. Oh and don't pay attn to the whiners, they'll fade away and try to make someone elses life as miserable as their own.
I've been sadly disappointed both times I have visited the "new" Pizza Place. My friend and I use to drive to Mulvane quite often for the delicious Italian Sticks and fresh salads. The first time I ordered from Johnny B's Pizza Place was only a carry-out salad. I paid the $5.50 and expected the same amount and quality that I was accustomed to from Mulvane, I was let down when it was half the amount of salad and maybe a quarter of the amount of ham that I was use to getting and it was my only meal of the day- needless to say, I was still rather hungry when I finished.
My second experience did not prove to be much better. The Pizza Place/Amy's Pizza Place in Mulvane used the perfect amount of Creamy Italian dressing and mix of cheese to make the sticks cheesy and creamy without overdoing it. Johnny B's Pizza Place seemed to have forgotten to put the Creamy Italian dressing on my Italian Sticks because they were so dry with only a tiny hint of dressing. I hope things improve soon.
Oddly enough, I went to Jonny B's when he was in Mulvane for a brief period of time. I too was not very impressed with the customer service. It does make a poor first impression to some people when they are not acknowledged. These customers help you make money and allow your business to grow. The place also seemed short staffed as it took atleast an hour for 3 sandwich meals to be made. In hope of things to be improved, I'll give it another shot now at the new location in Haysville!!!
Tried it for the first time today. Both the spouse and I thought the thin crust was under cooked. Other than that it was ok. I assume the crust was just a fluke.
I'll give it another try.
I grew up in Mulvane on the Original Pizza Place. Had it the first week they opened. So I thought to myself I would try the same thing here. MAJOR MISTAKE, I will never eat there again. The gal behind the counter was not cordial I had to ask her if she was ready to take my order and ask for a menu. The pizza was a sad copy of what used to be my all time favoirte. Its to bad really even Johny Bs food isnt the same since they moved either. Thank goodness there is a Pizza Hut down the road. I can save money and at least know what I am getting is a quality product.
I live in Mulvane and was disappointed to hear that they were moving "our" pizza place to Haysville. My daughter really loved the pizza and we decided as a special treat we would drive into Haysville to have some "Pizza Place" pizza. We were very disappointed then to find out that Johnny B's was out of business. After reading the reviews above it's no wonder they went out of business, but it is really disappointing to all of us from Mulvane that what was once a great family pizza place for over 20 years is no more. Amy's Pizza Place - We'll Miss You!!!
I enjoyed the Pizza, and the Italian Sticks. The salad bar was a little weak, but OK. Service was Good but not great. The place clean. I would go back. As for others in a hurry, i prefer my food made right.
Johnny B's & Pizza Place CLOSE ! Could'nt have been the CUSTOMER SERVICE could it ? Eh willie.
NOOOOOO!!! I'm so sad that Johnny B's closed! We LOVED your burgers! So disappointed!
I hear that Amy is back in Mulvane, and that's good, very good. New location (near K-15 and Rock Road intersection), and new name: Calabrone's. I'll be checking it out.
