Criminal investigators with the Moberly Police began working with Kansas authorities and learned the subject was living in Haysville, KS. Investigators in that city attempted to locate the suspect but were having difficulty finding and contacting him.

The city council’s purchase of a five-acre parcel for $140,000 is the first step forward in the South Broadway Corridor Plan.

“It’s exciting to be moving forward with the development plan,” said Carol Neugent, director of governmental services. “We’re not sure what we’ll use the property for, but it has potential for industrial or light commercial frontage.”
